Xianning is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province, located in central China, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, famous for its hot springs, osmanthus flowers and bamboo sea. With a total area of about 9,861 square kilometers and a population of about 2.5 million, the city has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. With a long history, Xianning is one of the important birthplaces of the Chu culture, and boasts cultural heritages such as the Ancient Battlefields of the Three Kingdoms.
The economy of Xianning is dominated by agriculture, tourism and light industry, and it is rich in osmanthus, tea and bamboo, and is known as the "home of osmanthus". Rich in geothermal resources, hot spring tourism is its pillar industry, attracting a large number of tourists every year. In recent years, new energy and manufacturing industries are also developing rapidly.
Xianning's famous attractions include Jiu Gong Mountain, Red Cliff Ancient Battlefield, Hidden Water Cave and Hot Spring Valley, combining natural scenery with history and humanity. The local Osmanthus Cultural Festival and Hot Spring Festival are important festivals, highlighting ecological and leisure features. The transportation is convenient, connecting Wuhan and neighboring cities through the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway and highway network.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
