Xiangyang is located in northwestern Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River, and is the deputy center of Hubei Province and an important hub in the border area of four provinces, namely Hubei, Hubei, Henan, Shaanxi and Chongqing. With a history of more than 2,800 years, Xiangyang has been a place of war since ancient times. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang ploughed his way through Longzhong, and Liu Bei's "Three Guesses" took place here, making Xiangyang known as the "Home of the Three Kingdoms Culture". The well-preserved ancient city wall of Xiangyang, together with the Lady's Castle, Zhongxuan Building and other monuments, tells the story of the vicissitudes of a thousand years. Today, Xiangyang is not only a famous national historical and cultural city, but also has the reputation of "China's Auto City" with the automobile industry as a pillar, while relying on the ecological resources of the Han River, the integration of culture and tourism is flourishing, with scenic spots such as Ancient Longzhong and Tangcheng Film and Television City attracting tourists from all directions, and it is glowing with the unique charm of the interplay of history and modernity.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
