Xiangan District is located in the northeastern part of Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China, and was established as an administrative district in 2003 as an important part of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone. The district is bordered by the Taiwan Strait in the east, Tong'an District in the west, Huli District in the south and Nan'an City in the north, with a total area of about 411.5 square kilometers. Xiang'an is positioned for development as a modern coastal new city, with major infrastructure such as Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport (under construction) and Xiang'an Tunnel, and an economy based on the pillars of electronic information, marine industry and modern agriculture. The region has a rich cultural heritage, retaining traditional southern Fujian customs such as Gezai Opera and Nanyin, and famous attractions include the Xiangshan Rock Temple and Dadeng Battlefield Sightseeing Park. With its strategic location and economic growth potential, Xiangan has become an important node in the Golden Triangle of Southern Fujian.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
