Wush County is located in the western part of Aksu Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, at the southern foot of Tianshan Mountain and the northern edge of Tarim Basin, bordering with Kyrgyzstan, making it an important border county. It has a total area of about 9,082 square kilometers and a population of about 200,000, mainly Uyghurs. With a long history, Ushi County was a must-pass place of the ancient Silk Road and has rich cultural heritage and natural landscape.
The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, producing wheat, corn, cotton and fruits such as apples and apricots. In recent years, border trade and tourism have gradually developed, and local specialties such as handicrafts and dried fruits are highly sought after. The natural landscape includes the Tianshan Mountains, grasslands and river valleys, and the climate is temperate and continental with four distinct seasons. Ushi County attracts tourists and investors with its unique ethnic culture, border scenery and tranquil lifestyle.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
