Wuping County is located in the southwestern part of Longyan City, Fujian Province, China, at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Gan provinces, and is a former Central Soviet County and Hakka settlement. With a total area of 2,630 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000, the county is dominated by Hakka people and retains a strong Hakka culture and dialect. Wuping is rich in natural resources, with over 79% forest coverage and ecological scenic spots such as Liangnoshan National Nature Reserve and Zhongshan River National Wetland Park.
