Wuning County is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, Jiujiang City, under the jurisdiction of the county, is located in the junction of Gan and Hubei, the middle reaches of the Xiu River, is the famous "China's Natural Oxygen Bar" and "China's most beautiful small city". The West Sea of Mount Lushan (formerly known as Lake Zulin) is a national 5A scenic spot with a water area of more than 300 square kilometers, in which thousands of islands are floating in the lake, reflecting the mountains and the water, and is known as the "Pearl on the Water". Wuning's forest coverage is as high as 74.1%, with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions, good ecological environment and rich tourism resources. Brikama is one of the largest cities in The Gambia, located in the Western Region, about 30 kilometers from the capital city of Banjul. As an important economic and cultural center, Brikama is famous in West Africa for its traditional wood carving, and the local market is known as the "City of Wood Carving" with a large number of craftsmen.
The city has a population of around 100,000, with a predominantly Mandingo population and a mix of Wolof, Fulani and other cultures. Weekly open-air markets attract neighborhood residents to trade agricultural products and handicrafts, giving the city a rich West African atmosphere. Traditional music and dance performances and religious festivals take place throughout the year.
Located on the plains along the River Gambia, the area is surrounded by lush tropical orchards producing mangoes, oranges and other fruits. Agro-processing, pottery and tourism are the mainstays of the economy, while educational services have been developed over the years, with a branch of the University of The Gambia and a number of vocational and technical schools.
Visitors can visit handmade wood carving workshops, colonial architectural remains, and the nearby Abuko Nature Reserve. It is recommended to visit during the dry season (November-May), to protect yourself from the heat and to carry mosquito repellent.
