Wuling is located in the northwestern part of China's Hunan Province and is the core area of Zhangjiajie City, known for the World Natural Heritage Wulingyuan Scenic Spot. This area, which covers the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Suoxiyu Nature Reserve, is listed as a UNESCO World Geopark for its unique quartz sandstone peak forest landscape. Thousands of rocky peaks rise up, surrounded by clouds and mist like a fairyland, and were the inspiration for the Hallelujah Mountains in the movie Avatar.
Wuling is not only blessed with magnificent natural landscapes, but also rich in the cultures of the Tujia, Miao and other ethnic minorities. The local traditional villages, folklore performances and specialties (such as Tujia bacon) demonstrate the deep humanistic heritage. As an eco-tourism destination, it offers hiking, photography and adventure activities, attracting millions of tourists annually, and is one of China's first 5A-level tourist attractions.
Qin County is part of Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, China, located in the hinterland of the Loess Plateau in Southeast Jin, with a total area of about 1,315 square kilometers. Because of its geographical characteristics of being surrounded by mountains on all sides and a basin in the center, it is known as the "Little Jiangnan of Taihang".
The history of Qinxian can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period, and it is one of the important birthplaces of Jin culture. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was an important base for the Eighth Route Army, leaving a large number of red relics. The local heritage of intangible cultural heritage, such as Jin Opera and paper-cutting, is passed down, and the folk customs are simple and generous.
With agriculture as the leading industry, it is a national commodity grain base county, and Qinzhou yellow millet is a geographical indication product. In recent years, the tourism industry has been gradually developed, relying on the Zhanghe River Wetland, West Lake Reservoir and other ecological resources to create a leisure and vacation destination.
There are cultural relics protection units such as Nanneshui stone carvings and the former site of αmu Association in the territory. The traditional temple fair held on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month every year integrates folklore exhibitions and trade activities, and is an important window for experiencing the humanistic flavor of Southeast Jin.
