Wulian County is located in the southeastern part of Shandong Province, China, belonging to Rizhao City, and is situated in the low-mountain hilly area of southeast Lu on the coast of the Yellow Sea. The county is named after the famous Wulian Mountain in its territory, which is a national key ecological function area and tourist attraction. With a total area of about 1443 square kilometers and a population of about 510,000, it is dominated by Han Chinese, and its dialect is Jiao Liao official language.
Wulian County is famous for "mountains and sea, ecological livability". Wulian Mountain is a national scenic spot, famous for its strange peaks, stone carvings and Buddhist culture, and Jiu Xian Mountain, known as the "two best". The transportation is convenient, 40 kilometers from Rizhao Port, with Jiaoxin Railway and Shenhai Highway passing through the city.
