Wugong County in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, located in the hinterland of Guanzhong Plain and on the north bank of the Weishui River, is an important birthplace of Chinese farming civilization. It is said to be the place where "Houji sealed Tai Tai" and Houji, the founder of the Zhou Dynasty, taught people how to harvest and created the first farming culture in China, which is why it is known as "China's Farming Capital". Wugong has a long history, more than 2,200 years since the establishment of the county in the Western Han Dynasty, and there are humanistic monuments such as the Teaching Crop Terrace, the Pagoda of the Reporting Temple, and the Temple of City God, among which the Teaching Crop Terrace, built in honor of Houji, is regarded as the "first building of the Chinese farming culture". As a traditional agricultural county, Wugong produces wheat, corn, apples and other agricultural products. In recent years, it has been actively developing modern agriculture and rural tourism, integrating historical and cultural heritage with modern industries, and has become a unique county in the Central Guanzhong Plain with both humanistic heritage and vitality.
