Located in the central part of Henan Province, China, Daugang City is a county-level city under Pingdingshan City, which is famous for its iron and steel industry. It is located at the junction of the eastern remnants of the Furniu Mountains and the Huanghuai Plain, rich in natural resources, with a temperate monsoon climate and four distinct seasons. The name of the city originates from the Maoyang Iron and Steel Company, which was established in 1970. The city has a strong industrial base and is one of the important production bases of special steel in China.
With natural landscapes such as the Shimantan Reservoir, Dagang City combines both landscape scenery and humanistic history, and the tourism industry is gradually developing. The economy is dominated by industry, with agriculture and tertiary industries advancing in a coordinated manner. The city has convenient transportation, connecting major cities in Henan Province through a network of highways and railroads. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
