Wheat Ridge (Mead) is a town in Weld County, Colorado, United States, located in the northern part of the Denver metropolitan area, about 50 kilometers from the state capital, Denver. The town is located in the hilly terrain of the Rocky Mountain Front, with an average elevation of about 1,520 meters above sea level, and is known for its open prairie landscapes and breathtaking vistas of the mountains in the distance.
Wheat Ridge has a total area of about 21 square kilometers and has about 5,000 residents according to the latest census data.
