Weiyuan County, belonging to Neijiang City of Sichuan Province, is located in the south-central part of Sichuan Basin, in the hinterland of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, with a total area of 1,289 square kilometers. The unique "Dome Geomorphology" in the county is rare in the world, and the rolling red hills are covered with dense forests, which is known as the "green gene pool" and the national ecological demonstration area. Agriculture is famous for its specialty fruits and vegetables, especially figs, the output of which accounts for nearly 30% of the country, and it has been awarded the reputation of "the hometown of China's figs". In terms of industry, it relies on coal and salt resources to develop a circular economy, forming industrial clusters of building materials and chemicals. The county town of Weiyuan has a long history, with both humanistic and natural landscapes such as Jingning Temple and Shuangshi Lake, blending the cultural heritage of Ba Shu with modern ecological charm, making it a livable city with ecological value and industrial vitality in south-central Sichuan.
