Weicheng is located in the central part of Shandong Province, China, and is the municipal district and political and economic center of Weifang City. As one of the important birthplaces of Qilu culture, Weicheng has a history of more than 2,500 years, and is famous for the name of "Weixian" in the Qing Dynasty. It is the hometown of Chinese kite culture, and the annual International Kite Festival attracts enthusiasts from all over the world.
The city retains historical relics such as the Shikwuyuan Garden and the Weixian Ancient City Wall, and has developed modern manufacturing clusters, especially in machinery manufacturing and textile industry.
