Wannian County is located in the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province and the central part of Shangrao City, situated in the hilly area of northeastern Gan, with a total area of about 1,140 square kilometers. As the "hometown of Chinese rice" and the "cradle of the world's agricultural civilization", Wannian has a 14,000-year-old cave of immortals and barrel ring site, where the world's earliest remains of artificial cultivation of rice were found, and it is recognized as one of the origins of the global rice agriculture. It has nurtured a long history of rice civilization. The territory is surrounded by mountains and water, with beautiful natural landscapes such as Mt. Zhu and Mt. Damao, and also produces high-quality agricultural products such as Wannian Tribute Rice and Pearl Rice. In addition, Wannian has a long history and deep cultural heritage, with unique traditional folklore such as the "playing lotus Hunan" and "dragon lantern dance", which is an important window for exploring the origins of Chinese farming civilization.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services.
