Wangan Township is located in the South China Sea area of Penghu County, Taiwan Province of China, consisting of 18 islands with a total area of about 13.78 square kilometers. As the fourth largest island of Penghu Islands, Wangan is famous for its green turtle sanctuary, traditional Minnan settlement and natural ecological landscape. The island retains a large number of basalt geological landscapes, sandy beaches and intertidal ecology, among which Tiantai Mountain is the highest point of the island, where you can enjoy the magnificent sea view and sunset. Local specialties include the ancient houses of the Flower House Settlement (Zhongshe Village), the culture of the Tseng Family Fishing Village, and traditional fishing activities. From May to October each year, green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs, which attracts many ecological enthusiasts. Transportation is by boat from Magong Harbor, a 40-minute voyage, making it an important destination for experiencing the culture and natural ecology of the outlying islands.
Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. It is known for its coffee farming, surrounded by terraced fields that produce Timor-Leste's premium Arabica coffee beans. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty and close to Mount Ramelau, Timor-Leste's highest peak, making it a stopover for hiking enthusiasts. A blend of traditional Timacu culture and modern townscape, Samu offers a unique look at the interior of Timor-Leste.
