Surrounded by the sea on three sides and with a winding coastline, it is home to natural wonders such as Haegeumgang and Dokdawngam, among which Haegeumgang is famous for its steep cliffs and clear water, and is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Korea. Guandao is known for its rich fishery resources and abundance of seafood such as abalone, kelp, and mackerel, and the local specialty, the Guandao Abalone Feast, is known far and wide. In addition, the county retains a traditional fishing village culture, and historical attractions such as Lighthouse Park and the ruins of Guandao Eup Castle attract many tourists. As the gateway between the inland and the South China Sea, Gwandogun is an ideal place to experience the Korean island culture, blending natural beauty with maritime culture.
