Ufatau is an important region of the South Pacific island nation of Samoa, located in the northwestern part of the country's largest island, Upolu. As the political center of Samoa, Ufatau is not only home to the capital city of Apia, but also to a concentration of the country's government agencies and diplomatic missions. The region is known for its unique natural beauty and deep Polynesian cultural traditions.
Ufatau is located in a tropical climate zone with dense rainforests, black volcanic beaches and clear coral reef waters.
