Travnik is an important city in the center of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), located in the capital of the Canton of Central Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 90 kilometers from the capital Sarajevo. This historic city was once the capital of the Bosnian province during the Ottoman Empire, so it is called the "Governor's City". The old town has well-preserved Ottoman-style buildings from the 16th to 19th centuries, such as colorful mosques, stone bell towers and Turkish houses, and the winding streets and stone paths show the rustic charm. Surrounded by the Verica Mountains, dotted with clear streams and meadows, the city is a destination for hikers and nature lovers. The city is culturally diverse, featuring traditional handicrafts (such as copperware) and cuisine (such as Travnik kajmak and kebab evapi), and the annual "Travnik Cultural Festival" attracts visitors to explore the city's rich history and unique blend of East and West.
Aleppo, a historic city in northern Syria, is located in Aleppo province near the Turkish border and was once an important trading hub on the ancient Silk Road. This ancient city of more than 8,000 years incorporates the imprints of Arab, Persian, and Roman civilizations, and its magnificent citadel, ancient mosques, and traditional bazaars (such as the Great Market of Aleppo) showcase a rich cultural heritage. As one of the largest cities in Syria, Erek has long been a regional economic and cultural center throughout its history, and despite the damage caused by the conflict in recent years, its unique architectural and human heritage continues to attract the world's attention, and it is now gradually moving towards recovery and reconstruction.
