Torkent is an important city in the Chu River Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, located about 60 kilometers east of the capital, Bishkek, and ideally situated in the Chu River valley. The city has a long history as a trading node on the ancient Silk Road, and the remains of medieval post stations around the city bear witness to the intermingling of civilizations in Central Asia.
As a regional economic center, Torkent is focused on agriculture and agro-processing, with vast farmland and pastures in the vicinity. The city is easily accessible by road and rail, connecting Bishkek to the east, and in recent years light industry and logistics have gradually developed. Most of the local residents are of Kyrgyz ethnicity, preserving the traditional nomadic culture and customs, with rich and colorful folk activities such as the spring Nawruz Festival.
Token is surrounded by natural landscapes and humanistic relics, and visitors can explore the nearby ancient tombs and mountainous landscapes and experience the simple rural life of Central Asia. Although small in size, the city has become an important window for exploring the interior of Kyrgyzstan with its deep historical heritage and unique cultural charm.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
