Tonj, the capital of Lakes State in South Sudan, is located in the central savannah region of the country, and is an important transportation hub and commercial center in west-central South Sudan. As the political and economic center of Lakes State, Tonj is surrounded by agricultural and pastoral industries, producing crops such as sorghum and maize, as well as a relatively well-developed livestock industry. Although the city is not large, it has basic market, medical and educational facilities, and is a distribution center for goods and people's life in the surrounding area. After South Sudan's independence, Tongi has gradually regained stability, and urban construction is slowly advancing. The local population, mainly Dinka, has retained its traditional tribal culture while integrating into modern urban development. Despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, Tongi continues to play a key role in connecting the North and the South and promoting regional development due to its strategic location.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
