Tiedong is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Siping City, Jilin Province, China, located in the southern part of Jilin Province, at the intersection of the Northeast Asian Economic Circle and the Bohai Rim Economic Zone. The region is based on industry, encompassing machinery manufacturing, agricultural product processing and energy, as well as rich agricultural resources, with corn and soybeans in abundance. Tiedong has convenient transportation, with the Beijing-Harbin Railway and a number of highways running through its territory, connecting it to major cities such as Changchun and Shenyang.
