Tianzhen County is located in the northeastern part of Shanxi Province, the easternmost part of Datong City, located at the junction of Jin, Hebei and Mongolia provinces (regions), known as Shanxi "North Gate". The total area of the county is about 1633 square kilometers, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate, the average annual temperature is about 6.7 ℃, the four seasons are clear. Historically, Tianzhen is one of the important passes of the Ming Great Wall, with about 35 kilometers of Ming Great Wall ruins existing in the territory, and well-preserved relics such as beacon towers and enemy platforms, which bear witness to the historical heaviness of the border culture. Agriculture to plant corn, grain, potato-based, specialty agricultural products such as "Tianzhen oats" is famous for its rich nutrition. In recent years, relying on the advantages of location, actively developing ecological tourism and special agriculture, is an important agricultural products distribution center and ecologically livable county in the north of the Jin Dynasty.
