Tianquan is located in the western part of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, in the transition zone from the Sichuan Basin to the Tibetan Plateau, and is an important node of the ecotourism loop in western Sichuan and a major gateway to Tibet. With over 70% forest coverage, the county has core scenic spots such as Horn River and Erlang Mountain, of which Horn River is famous for its rare flora and fauna (e.g. wild takin) and alpine canyon scenery, making it a "natural oxygen bar" and ecological study destination. Tianquan has a long history, the ancient tea-horse road has a deep cultural heritage, and there are red resources such as the site of the Red Army's Long March and the Battle of Luding Bridge. As "China's ecological charm county", the local relying on selenium-rich soil and high-quality water, the development of tea, Chinese herbs and other ecological industries, Tianquan tea, Erlangshan mineral water and other products are renowned both inside and outside the province. Tianquan, with its natural beauty and humanistic charm, is a tourist destination in western Sichuan that integrates ecological sightseeing, cultural experience and recreational vacation.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
