Changqing District is part of Jinan City, Shandong Province, China, located in the central and western part of Shandong Province, on the east bank of the lower reaches of the Yellow River. Changqing is now the core area of the western new city of Jinan, with a university science and technology park (Jinan Innovation Valley) and a concentration of more than ten universities, including Shandong Normal University. The economy is dominated by equipment manufacturing and food processing, as well as cultural tourism and eco-agriculture. The transportation network is well-developed, with the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and the Beijing-Taiwan high-speed railway running through the whole area, and the West Jinan Railway Station is only a 15-minute drive away.
