Tengzhou is located in the south of Shandong Province, China, and is a county-level city under Zaozhuang City, which is at the core of Lunan Economic Belt and Huaihai Economic Zone. As a historical city, Tengzhou has a civilization history of more than 7,000 years, and is the hometown of Mozi, the "Sage of Science", and Lu Ban, the "Grandmaster of Craftsmen". The city's economic pillars are agriculture, manufacturing and coal industry, while modern service industry and tourism are actively developed. Tengzhou has convenient transportation, with the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway and several national highways running through the city. With a population of about 1.7 million (2020 data), it has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
