Tebicuary is a small city in central Paraguay, about 120 kilometers southeast of the capital, Asunción, and is part of the Paraguarí Department. The city has a predominantly peripheral agricultural economy, with the local population engaged in the cultivation of soybeans, corn, and citrus crops, while animal husbandry is also an important industry. The Río Tebicuary flows through the city, providing abundant water for the surrounding farmland and creating a natural landscape that is a mix of tropical and subtropical.
