Tamzi District is located in the northern part of Taichung City, Taiwan, China. Covering an area of approximately 25.85 square kilometers and with a population of approximately 100,000, the district is characterized by manufacturing and agriculture as its main industries. Tamzi has a well-developed transportation network and is well connected to downtown Taichung and other areas through the Tamzi Station of the Taiwan Railway.
Tamzi District is an important industrial cluster in Taiwan, with the Taichung Processing and Export Zone and several precision machinery and bicycle parts manufacturers located in the district. Meanwhile, it retains traditional agricultural characteristics, producing citrus, lychee and other agricultural products, forming a development model that emphasizes both industry and agriculture.
Tamzi District has recreational facilities such as the Tamzi National Sports Center and the Tam Nga Shen Green Parkway, as well as a number of primary and secondary schools and medical institutions. Annual cultural events for the loquat industry are held to show the charm of combining local specialty industries with traditional culture.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
