Taysi is a township under the jurisdiction of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, located in the western coastal area of Taiwan, bordering the Taiwan Strait. The area has fisheries and agriculture as its main economic pillars, and is rich in marine resources, producing oysters, clams and other aquatic products, and is known as the "Oyster Township". Taysi Township has a flat terrain and a tropical monsoon climate, with a population of about 25,000, most of whom are of Minnan descent and speak Taiwanese (Minnan) and Mandarin. The locality retains its traditional temple culture and fishing village style, and organizes folk activities such as the King Boat Festival every year, attracting tourists to experience the unique coastal ecology and humanities. In terms of transportation, it can be connected to other cities in Taiwan via the Taiwan 61 West Coast Expressway.
