Taiping District is located in the southwest of Liaoning Province, China, under the city of Jinzhou. It is situated in the middle part of the western corridor of Liaozhi, with the Songling Mountain Range in the north and the Liaodong Bay of Bohai Sea in the south. With a total area of about 108 square kilometers and a population of about 200,000, the area has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
