Located on the country's eastern Black Sea coast, Bulgaria's Sunny Coast is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Balkans. It stretches for about 400 kilometers and attracts tourists from all over the world with its golden sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and mild Mediterranean climate with an average summer temperature of 25°C. Major cities include Varna ("the capital of the Black Sea") with its busy harbor and historic old town, and Burgas, famous for its salt lake and rose industry. The coastline is dotted with resorts such as Albena and Sozopol, with modern hotels and the remains of ancient cities such as Nessebur (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visitors can enjoy water sports, sample local cuisine (e.g. kebabs, yogurt) or explore the traditional villages of the Dobroga region. The Sunshine Coast is the ideal choice for family vacations in Europe, thanks to its great value for money and its blend of nature and culture.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services.
