Šumperk is located in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, at the foot of the picturesque Jesenik Mountains in northern Moravia. The city is known as the "Gateway to Moravia" and is an important transportation hub between Bohemia and Moravia.
The history of Shumpelk dates back to the 13th century, when it was an important center of the textile industry. The Old Town is rich in Baroque and Renaissance architecture, including the Town Hall, the Church of St. John and the unique historical monuments of the "witch trials", which took place in the 17th century, earning the city the nickname "City of Witches".
Surrounded by the Jesenik Mountains Nature Park, the city offers a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing. With its spa center and winter sports facilities, the city is a well-known four-season destination in the Czech Republic. Folklore and music festivals are held every summer and attract a large number of visitors.
Today Shumpelk is the administrative and industrial center of the region, with traditional industries such as machine building and textiles. With a population of approximately 27,000, the city maintains a quiet pace of life, and its unique historical atmosphere blended with modern amenities makes it an ideal starting point for exploring Moravian culture.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
