Located in the South Carolina Lowcountry, northwest of the Charleston metropolitan area, Summerville is a fast-growing city that blends history with modern energy. As the centerpiece of the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area, the city is located just 15 minutes from downtown Charleston, offering urban conveniences with a small-town, southern feel. The city's diverse economy, which includes manufacturing, technology, healthcare and services, has attracted a large number of residents in recent years due to its pleasant environment and low cost of living. Summerville is known for its arts scene, with the monthly Summerville Arts Festival bringing together local artists and craftspeople, while independent cafes, craft beer breweries and farm-to-table restaurants throughout the downtown area make it a destination for food lovers. In addition, the city's excellent park system and walkable, family-friendly neighborhoods make it one of the most desirable places to live in South Carolina.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
