Šiauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania, located in the northwest of the country near the Latvian border, about 214 kilometers from the capital Vilnius. As a historical and cultural center of Lithuania, Subakus is known as the "Way of the Cross", and its landmark "Cross on the Hill" is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Lithuania, with hundreds of thousands of crosses, symbolizing faith and perseverance. Founded in 1236, the city has survived many wars and still retains some of its medieval architecture, such as the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. As the industrial and educational center of Lithuania, the city is home to several universities and research institutes, and is surrounded by lush forests and tranquil lakes, making it an ideal place to experience Lithuania's natural and humanistic heritage.
Luanda, the capital and largest city of Angola, is located on the Atlantic coast of West Africa and is the political, economic and cultural center of the country. As a major port city in Africa, its deep-water harbor supports Angola's foreign trade and its economy is highly dependent on the oil industry, attracting a large number of foreign investors and multinational companies. The city is a blend of colonial architecture and modern urbanism, with historical monuments such as the São Miguel Castle and skyscrapers along the waterfront. Home to about one-third of Angola's population, Luanda is a vibrant city with infrastructure challenges and a key window on Angola's development and transformation.
