Strumica Region is located in the south-eastern part of the Republic of North Macedonia, next to the Greek border, and is an important agricultural and cultural tourism region of the country. The capital city of Strumica, situated in the Strumica River Valley, is known as the "City of Sunshine" and is known as the "Orchard of the Balkans" for its high quality fruits and vegetables, especially strawberries and grapes. The region has a rich cultural heritage, with the traditional Carnival, a blend of Byzantine and Slavic elements, listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty, with Belasica as a hiking destination and the Strumica River running through the city, forming a green ecological corridor. As a commercial hub connecting Northern Macedonia with Greece, the district is an idyllic and vibrant urban destination for a multicultural Balkan experience.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
