Sohar is an important city in northern Oman, located along the Gulf of Oman and adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz, and has been a key hub for trade between the Arabian Peninsula and the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean since ancient times. This city, with a history of thousands of years, is said to have been the home of Sinbad the Navigator in the Thousand and One Nights, and witnessed the prosperity of the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
