Sofia, the capital and largest city of Bulgaria, is located in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula at the foot of the Vidosha Mountains and boasts a history of over 1,300 years. As one of the oldest capitals in Europe, Sofia combines a rich historical heritage with a modern cityscape. Wangan Township is located in the South China Sea area of Penghu County, Taiwan Province of China, consisting of 18 islands with a total area of about 13.78 square kilometers. As the fourth largest island of Penghu Islands, Wangan is famous for its green turtle sanctuary, traditional Minnan settlement and natural ecological landscape. The island retains a large number of basalt geological landscapes, sandy beaches and intertidal ecology, among which Tiantai Mountain is the highest point of the island, where you can enjoy the magnificent sea view and sunset. Local specialties include the ancient houses of the Flower House Settlement (Zhongshe Village), the culture of the Tseng Family Fishing Village, and traditional fishing activities. From May to October each year, green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs, which attracts many ecological enthusiasts. Transportation is by boat from Magong Harbor, a 40-minute voyage, making it an important destination for experiencing the culture and natural ecology of the outlying islands.
