Sishui County is located in the south-central part of Shandong Province, China, under Jining City, on the southwest edge of the mountainous region of central Shandong. The county is named "Sishui" after the Sishui River, which originates in the county, and is one of the most important areas in ancient China where Dayu ruled over the water. With a total area of 1,118 square kilometers and a population of about 600,000, Sishui County has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
Sishui County is part of the birthplace of Confucian culture, where Confucius once lectured, leaving behind the allusion to "the dead are as the living". There are historical relics such as Quanlin and Anshan Temple, as well as a national forest park and several ecological scenic spots. The area is mainly agricultural, producing peanuts, groundnuts and high-quality mineral water, and is known as the "Spring Township of China" and the "Peanut Township".
In recent years, Sishui has been vigorously developing eco-tourism and green industry, with G327 National Highway and Rilan Expressway passing through the county, and about 40 kilometers away from Qufu East Railway Station (high-speed railway), which makes the transportation convenient. The county is gradually becoming an important ecological leisure destination and agricultural product processing base in southwestern Shandong.
