Shahe City, located in the south of Hebei Province, China, is a county-level city under the administration of Xingtai City, situated at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains and the hinterland of the North China Plain. It has a total area of 999 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000 people. As a traditional industrial city, Shahe is famous for its glass manufacturing, known as "China Glass City", and its glass production accounts for a quarter of the national total. Agriculture is rich in wheat, corn and jujube.
