Sofia, the capital and largest city of Bulgaria, is located in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula at the foot of the Vidosha Mountains and boasts a history of over 1,300 years. Jiexi County is located in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, China, under Jieyang City, and is situated at the junction of the Chaoshan Plain and the mountainous area. With a total area of about 1,352 square kilometers and a population of about one million, the county is dominated by Hakka and Chaoshan people, creating a unique blend of cultures. Jiexi is one of the important birthplaces of Chaoshan culture, while retaining a strong Hakka tradition, with Hakka and Chaoshan languages predominating.
