Cotonou, the economic capital and largest city of the Republic of Benin, is located at the southern tip of the country, bordering the Gulf of Guinea, and is one of the most important port cities in West Africa. As the capital of the Littoral Province, Cotonou is not only the political and economic center of Benin, but also a key trade hub in West Africa, with its port handles bulk cargo and import/export trade, supporting the lifeblood of the country's economy. Aparan is a historic city in the northern Armenian province of Lori, about 60 kilometers north of the capital, Yerevan, on the edge of the Armenian plateau, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountains and a pleasant climate.
