Shule County is located in the southwestern part of Xinjiang, China, west of Kashgar, on the western edge of the Tarim Basin and the northern foothills of the Kunlun Mountains. It is an important node on the northern route of the ancient Silk Road, and has been known as the "Pearl on the Ancient Silk Road". It was one of the 36 countries in the Western Regions during the Han Dynasty, and through the Han and Tang Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has always been a major town where East meets West, and Ban Chao was stationed here for 17 years. Nowadays, Shule is a multi-ethnic settlement, where Uyghur, Han and other ethnic groups live together in harmony, preserving the rich western flavor and traditional culture, such as the Shule Twelve Mukams and folk handicrafts. Meanwhile, as a large agricultural county in South Xinjiang, Shule is rich in cotton, pomegranates, jujubes and other specialty agricultural products, and is the "Production Base of High-Quality Cotton in China" and the "Hometown of Pomegranates in China", which are revitalized in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt in the new era.
Frederick, located in Weld County, Colorado, United States, is a town in the northern part of the Denver metropolitan area. The town is located in the plains region along the front of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of about 1,519 meters above sea level, and has a predominantly semi-arid continental climate with four distinct seasons.
