Shufu City is located in the northernmost part of Yunnan Province, at the confluence of the Jinsha River and the Yangtze River, and is an important gateway to Sichuan and Chongqing, known as the "northern gateway to Yunnan" and the "first harbor on the Yangtze River". This young city, relying on Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station and Shuifu Port, has become an important node on the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
