Located in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, China, the Twin Pagodas are a landmark historical building in Chaoyang City and an important cultural site in Northeast China. The Twin Pagodas, including the North Pagoda and the South Pagoda, were both built in the Liao Dynasty (916-1125 AD), a thousand years ago, and reflect the unique style of Buddhist art of the Liao Dynasty. The North Pagoda is about 40 meters high, and the South Pagoda is slightly shorter. both pagodas are of masonry structure, with exquisite carvings, blending elements of Han, Khitan and other ethnic cultures. 1988, the twin pagodas were listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit, attracting many tourists and scholars to visit and study them.
