Songkhla Dzongkhag is a dzongkhag (administrative division) in eastern Bhutan, located in the eastern Himalayas, with Songkhla as its capital. The region is known for its magnificent mountainous landscape, rich biodiversity and unique cultural heritage. At an altitude of about 1900 meters above sea level, Songkhla Dzongkhag has a mild climate with dense forests and crystal clear rivers, making it one of the important eco-tourism destinations in Bhutan.
Songkhla Dzong retains a strong Buddhist tradition and there are several ancient monasteries within its boundaries, such as Gomtse Monastery and Tashiyan Monastery, which attract pilgrims and tourists. The local population is mainly engaged in agriculture, growing corn, rice and citrus fruits. The Dzong is also known for its traditional textile craftsmanship, with hand-woven textiles in vibrant colors that reflect Bhutan's cultural identity.
Tourism is an important part of the Songkhla Dzongkhag's economy, and visitors can experience trekking, bird watching and community tourism programs. Infrastructure in the Dzongkhag is relatively simple, but is being gradually developed to promote sustainable tourism. With its serene natural environment and simple people, Songkhla Dzong is ideal for exploring the hidden beauty of eastern Bhutan.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
