Shihe is a city district under the jurisdiction of Xinyang City, Henan Province, China, located in southern Henan Province, located in the upper reaches of the Huaihe River Basin. The district is named after the Shihe River running through the territory, is the political, economic and cultural center of Xinyang City. Shihe District has a long history, dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, with a rich cultural heritage and natural landscape.
The region covers a total area of about 1,782 square kilometers and has a population of about 600,000 people.
