Shifang City is a county-level city located in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, China. It is situated in the northwestern part of the Chengdu Plain, about 60 kilometers away from Chengdu City, and is an important part of the Chengdu Economic Zone. As one of the birthplaces of the ancient Shu civilization, Shifang City has a history of more than 2,200 years, and was named after the establishment of "Shifang County" during the Qin Dynasty, and is known as the "Pearl of Western Sichuan".
Shifang City is a national ecological demonstration area with over 50% forest coverage, including Mount Yinghuashan and Qingniutuo. Mt. Yinghuashan is famous for its dangerous peaks, sea of clouds and azalea sea, and is known as "the first mountain in western Sichuan". There are also historical relics in the area such as the Warring States boat coffin burial group and Luohan Temple, combining natural landscape and humanistic heritage.
Shifang's economy is industry-oriented, with food processing (Shifang Sun Tobacco is a Geographical Indication Product of China), building materials, chemical industry and other industrial clusters, and it is a strong city in Sichuan's county economy. In recent years, Shifang has been actively developing its tourism and recreation industry, relying on its hot springs resources and ecological advantages to create a recreational vacation destination. The transportation is convenient, with Chenglan Railway and Jingkun Expressway running through the whole city.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
