Shenze County is located in the south-central part of China's Hebei Province, under the city of Shijiazhuang, in the hinterland of the North China Plain, with a total area of 296 square kilometers and a population of about 250,000 people. The county has a long history, founded in the Western Han Dynasty, more than 2,000 years ago, with a rich cultural heritage, known for its agriculture and traditional handicrafts, and is an important grain-producing area and cloth shoe production base in Hebei.
Conveniently located near the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and the Shi Huang Expressway, Shenze is about 70 kilometers from downtown Shijiazhuang, and its economy is dominated by agricultural product processing, textile and manufacturing. Local specialties include Shenze cloth shoes, apple cultivation and folk art. The environment is mainly plain with four distinct seasons, which is suitable for agriculture and eco-tourism. In recent years, Shenze has been actively developing modern industries and focusing on cultural preservation and rural revitalization.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
