Shapingba District is located in the western part of the main city of Chongqing, China, and is one of the nine districts of the main city of Chongqing, covering an area of 396 square kilometers. As a major town of science, education and culture in Chongqing, Shapingba is known as the "Smart City of Chongqing" as it is home to 26 colleges and universities, including Chongqing University and Southwest University of Political Science and Law, as well as nearly 40% of the city's scientific research institutes.
Shapingba is steeped in history and culture, and the ancient town of Maguikou is Chongqing's most representative showcase of Bayu style, attracting more than ten million tourists every year. Red attractions such as the Red Rock Revolutionary Memorial Hall and the White House record the heroic epics of the war period. Three Gorges Plaza, the largest commercial pedestrian street in the west, is a concentrated manifestation of modern urban vitality.
The district relies on the construction of the core area of the Western (Chongqing) Science City, focusing on high-tech industries such as integrated circuits and artificial intelligence. With a multi-dimensional transportation network including Chongqing West Station of the Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Rail, Rail Line 1/Loop Line/ Line 9, and 30 minutes to Jiangbei International Airport, it is an important hub node of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
