Shaoyang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, located in the southwestern part of central Hunan and the upper reaches of the Zijiang River, with a total area of 21,000 square kilometers and a population of about 6.5 million. As an important center city in southwestern Hunan, Shaoyang has a long history, with a history of more than 2,200 years since the establishment of the county in the Western Han Dynasty.
Shaoyang is rich in mineral resources, known as the "Hometown of Gold and Silver", and is the world's largest antimony mining base. Agriculture is rich in Xuefeng tangerines, Longhui honeysuckle and other specialties. Industry focuses on machinery manufacturing, food processing, and traditional Chinese medicine, and enterprises such as Shaoyang Hydraulic Pressure and Xiangjiao Liquor are well-known nationwide.
The city has a deep cultural heritage and is the hometown of Wei Yuan, Cai E and other famous historical figures. It has famous scenic spots such as the World Natural Heritage of Mount Shaoyang, Nanshan Ranch and Wugang Yunshan, among which the Danxia landform of Mount Shaoyang has been inscribed on the list of World Natural Heritage. Local specialties include intangible cultural heritages such as Shaoyang Flower Drum Opera and Tantou New Year's Paintings.
Radža is a quiet town in western North Macedonia, nestled in the southern foothills of the Šar Mountains, about 120 kilometers from the capital, Skopje. The town is known for its well-preserved Ottoman-era architecture and traditional Balkan flavor, with the old town's stone paths, wooden houses and quaint mosques speaking of its long history. Surrounded by dense forests and crystal clear mountain springs, it is an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism, especially in summer.
