Shantou, located in the eastern part of Guangdong Province and at the southern end of the Han River Delta, is one of the earliest special economic zones in China, known as the "Gateway to the East of Guangdong and the Horn of South China". With a long history, Shantou has been famous for its prosperous trade and commerce since the opening of the port in modern times, and is now a central city in eastern Guangdong and a national comprehensive transportation hub. With the advantage of being a hometown of overseas Chinese and the policy of opening up, Shantou Special Economic Zone has formed an industrial system led by light manufacturing, new materials and biomedicine, and the toy and textile industries are famous all over the world. As the birthplace of Chaoshan culture, Teochew Opera, Kung Fu Tea and Shantou's beef hot pot are unique and attract many tourists every year. In addition, Nan'ao Island, Boulder Scenic Area and other natural landscapes and cityscape reflect each other, showing the unique charm of "Seaside Zulu".
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
